Dr. Bruce Fraser is originally from Steubenville, Ohio and in 1979 received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University (OSU) in Food Science and Nutrition. He completed dental school at OSU in 1983.
Dr. Fraser graduated with Honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at The Ohio State University Hospital. Dr. Fraser began his four-year oral surgery residency in 1984 at OSU. During his residency, he was Chief resident and completed an honorary registrar program in Sunderland England. In addition to completing his residency training, he was granted a master’s degree in science for his thesis on “Obstructive Sleep Apnea”.
After 13 straight years attending Ohio State University, in 1988 Dr. Fraser joined an oral surgery practice in Worthington, Ohio. Two years later in 1990, he established his solo practice, Northeast Oral Surgery, located in Gahanna, Ohio. In 1991 he opened his second office of Northeast Oral Surgery in Lancaster, Ohio. In 1995 Dr. Greg Michaels joined him and they maintained both office locations. In late 2017, Dr. Fraser decided to concentrate his practice in the Columbus/Gahanna location.

Dr Chintan Patel and his medical assistant were excellent in my tooth extraction yesterday. Both took the time to explain this procedure, and both made sure that there was very little pain. The whole process took about a half hour, and I was able to walk out and drive a car with no problem. The office staff is very friendly and helpful especially if there were questions afterwards. I would highly recommend Dr Patel and the NORTHEAST office to anyone who needs any type of surgery.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My fear was off the charts. I had no time to prepare because they called me with a cancellation. The staff was so kind (they even wiped my tears) The doctor assured me with his confidence and kindness. He explained just enough as he worked. He was available if I needed him after the surgery. He called to see how I was doing that evening. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I was truly blessed that day.

When my dentist told me I needed to have a tooth removed I was a bit nervous. I needn't have been. I'm so grateful I was referred to Dr. Fraser! The entire process was amazing, and the Northeast practice is wonderful - very welcoming, friendly and professional. Dr. Fraser was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and I knew I was in good hands. The tooth that had been causing me a lot of pain before was taken out painlessly and the area has healed perfectly. I appreciated the follow up call to see how I was doing! Dr. Fraser received his board certification by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1990. He is an assistant professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology teaching in the undergraduate dental clinic two half-days per month. His is active in the Columbus Dental Society serving on the Board of Directors since 2012 and is a member of the Program and Peer Review committees. Dr. Fraser has been voted by his peers as one of the Top Oral Surgeons in Columbus every year since 2011.
Dr. Fraser concentrates his practice on outpatient oral surgery procedures including the removal of teeth, surgical removal of wisdom teeth, biopsies, dental implants, related grafting procedures, office sedation, and general anesthesia.
Dr. Fraser currently resides in Bexley with his wife Kris and golden retriever, Ollie. Kris and Bruce have three grown children; Andrew, Ellen, and Elizabeth. In his spare time, Dr. Fraser enjoys exercising (Orange Theory), travel and daily walks with Kris and Ollie.
